Let’s Chip In Depots

Let’s Chip In Depots are open from December 27, 2024 – January 31, 2025

Give a gift to the earth by turning your real Christmas tree into wood chip mulch at one of our Let’s Chip In Depots.

Free wood chip mulch is available in January, while quantities last, at all Let’s Chip In Depots (except the 4R Winnipeg Depot locations). Please bring your own container.

Prepare your tree for drop-off

Please remember to remove all decorations, tree stands, and plastic tree bags.

Do not leave these items on the tree or at the depots. Instead take them and other garbage home with you.

Thanks to all participating residents for taking the time to recycle your Christmas trees. Over the past 33 years, we've recycled over 426,044 trees, which has diverted more than 1,937 tonnes of material from our landfill.
