Payment Methods
If you have received a penalty notice on or after November 20, 2017, you now have four (4) ways to pay:
- Pay online
- Pay by phone
- Pay in person
- Pay by mail
Responsibility for payment by the due date rests with the recipient of the penalty notice regardless of the selected payment option. Any payments received after business hours will be processed the following business day. Please allow sufficient time to ensure your penalty notice is paid on time.
Online
You may pay your penalty notice online anytime at the Pay Online link below, using the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
- Payments received after business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays – excluding holidays) will be processed the next business day.
By phone
Payments can be processed through 311 (out of town 1-877-311-4974), using the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
- Please have your contravention number that is printed on the penalty notice with you when you phone.
- Credit card payments received after business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays – excluding holidays) will be processed the next business day.
In person
We accept many forms of payment: Cash, cheques, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or debit card.
You can pay your penalty notice (ticket) in person at the following locations:

- Write your contravention number on the cheque or money order to ensure proper credit.
- Payment will be considered received on date of delivery from Canada Post.
- Post-dated cheques are not accepted.
- A dishonoured cheque does not constitute payment and a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee will be applied.
- Do NOT send cash in the mail.
