Ballot Marking Device

The ballot marking device is available to voters who cannot mark a paper ballot with a pen, and require the unit's ballot marker device to generate a marked ballot.

The voter uses the audio-tactile interface, sip and puff device or paddle button device along with headphones to navigate their way through the audio ballot.

After the voter has confirmed their selections, the ballot marking device will print a paper copy of their marked ballot for them.

The ballot marking device is available at select advance voting locations, including all Mall/University advance locations as well as City Hall Advance voting. Although subject to change, the schedule for all advance voting opportunities, including Shopping Malls and Universities, can be found here.

Braille Template

Braille templates are also available in all voting places.

Assistance from Election Official

A person may request assistance from an election officer or a companion when voting. If a person other than an election officer is to assist, an oath is required, which is taken at the voting place. Except for election officers, no person may assist more than two voters in this election.
