Illicit/Prescription Drug Education - Drug education relating to various street and prescription drugs with a focus on methamphetamine, opioids and other substances. The information is fact based, current and is continually adjusting due to the ever changing drug market and substance use trends. The presentation will cover substance use disorders, addiction trends, the pathophysiology and pharmacology of various substances, Paramedic response and treatment abilities, departmental response data and stigma reduction strategies. The programming is in very high demand with frequent bookings in high schools, community groups, conference presentations including keynote sessions. WFPS now offers drug presentations in rural Manitoba.
