High Angle Rescue

This is a low volume, high risk response that utilizes the same units that respond to trench rescue events as well as high rise fires and all elevated rescue situations.
One of the first fire departments in North America to provide this response through a formal and dedicated program the technicians are required to recertify every two years and diligently maintain their skills in rope rescue techniques.
Firefighters access this program by demonstrating interest and volunteering to participate in the program and respond to the challenging rescues involving:
- Cranes
- Bridges
- High rise buildings
- Construction sites
- Complex building exterior or interior locations
