What's going on: Employment Workshops

Now's your chance to learn new skills that will help you in your job hunt, whether you've been in the working world for a while or you've just started looking. The University of Winnipeg's Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre is hosting three employment workshops in August and September.

Resume & Cover Letter
August 20th & 27th, 2013
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Drop in to this workshop and learn how to develop a resume and a cover letter to start you job search. If you already have a resume, learn how to enhance it so that employers notice you and your experiences. All levels welcome, beginners with no resume to experienced individuals who are looking to take it to the next level.

Navigating the Job Market
September 3rd & 17th, 2013
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

This workshop will give you ideas on how to tap into the hidden job market - jobs that are available but not advertised. Resources will be provided to assist you in navigating the job market so that you can access jobs that are not always advertised.

Basic Interviewing Skills
September 10th & 24th, 2013
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Need some pointers on how to participate in an interview? This workshop will provide you with some tips on how to prepare for a job interview and develop some basic skills that will assist you landing that job!
