Bored? Michael Champagne speaks about ‘beating boredom’ in Winnipeg.
August 17, 2015
Michael Champagne – a former Oshki Annishinabe Nigaaniwak participant – speaks about how youth can battle boredom by taking advantage of positive opportunities to help themselves, their families and communities.
Listen to his interview on CBC Radio – New Fire with Lisa Charleyboy.
As the founder and organizer of Aboriginal Youth Opportunities (AYO!), Michael hosts the Meet Me @ the Bell Tower (MM@TB) which occurs every Friday at 6:00 p.m. on Selkirk and Powers at the Bell Tower. MM@TB is an opportunity for the North End community to gather and discuss various topics such as anti-violence, anti-racism, Aboriginal culture, etc. It is also an approach for community members to simply spend time together and get to know one another.
