March 2015
A big thank you to our latest work placement!
March 9, 2015
Brett Meeches is currently our clerical work placement who has been with us since this past February. She came from one of our community partners - Ka Ni Kanichihk. We are very glad to have her here as she has been an amazing support and team player to the Aboriginal Relations Division. Please to have you onboard Brett! Read below for what she has to say!
"My Spirit name is Ausaway-Benesiik ( Continuing Thunderbird) and I am from Myeengan (Wolf) Clan. I have the biggest gratitude towards Oshki Annishinabe Nigaaniwak and the Aboriginal Relations Division; they have empowered the voice inside me saying "it'll be worth it, keep striving!" This clerical work placement has proven the importance of developing and utilizing the skills I have possessed through continuing education. It has also had a strong impact on the way I communicate and manage myself in a team environment. Having a small taste of this division's intentions keeps me motivated to continue being a living example of "Young Aboriginal People Leading," not only for me but also for my son. MEEGWETCH (thank-you) and GIGAWABAMIN (See you later)!" |
