Rapid Housing Initiative

The City of Winnipeg is receiving additional capital funding from the federal government under Round 3 of the Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI). The funding, which is being distributed through the Major Cities Stream of the program, will be used to enhance the delivery of affordable housing units that support vulnerable people and populations in Winnipeg.

Proponents that align with the intent of the program may be selected for further consideration and will be contacted directly for more information.

The deadline to submit an initial expression of interest in RHI project funding has now passed. Proponents that have submitted a project description through this process that aligns with the intent of the program may be selected for further consideration and will be contacted directly for more information. Additional funding opportunities may be available through separate RHI streams; interested proponents should visit the CMHC website on the Rapid Housing Initiative for additional information.
