What is ServiceStat
ServiceStat is an online resource that provides timely statistical information on selected 311 service requests. It is a component of the City’s performance measurement system that is used to monitor and improve the delivery of City services.
The 311 Contact Centre captures a citizen’s complaint or request for an incident location that is entered into a database and is electronically transferred to the responsible city department for action. The statistics are updated daily on this website from the 311 records management system to reflect the City’s commitment to providing up-to-date information.
ServiceStat will be used to look for ways to improve service delivery, identify trends and understand and prioritize issues of concerns to citizens.
ServiceStat will also provide accountability. The provision of statistics on service requests reflects openness and accountability, by showing where the demand for service requests is occurring in our City. It also allows departments to use the data collectively to develop strategies for quick resolution of service requests. Providing the most efficient and effective delivery of services is a major goal of the City and citizens will be able to monitor changes in service requests over time.

The data provided is gathered from the 311 records management system (RMS) used by City Departments.
