Received funds for Performance/Provincial Teams for financial support and aids program for athletes participating in the programs

2016 Awards

The Winnipeg Police Service is pleased to announce that two grants totaling $2,960.00 have been made for 2016.

Emmanuel Mission Church - Youth/Children Summer Learning Program

Received $1, 480.00 for a summer youth program to keep participants engaged during the summer months. The program included field trips, academic support (reading writing, math, and language skills) and access to educational experiences through recreation, sports, and art activities.

Immigrant Women’s Association of Manitoba Inc.

Received $1,480.00 to fund 3 workshop/seminars. The goal was to introduce the idea of entrepreneurship to the women the organization supports. The sessions included;
start up/money management, skill development – computer workshop - marketing and social media
skill development – caterings services.

2015 Award

The Winnipeg Police Service is proud to announce the first grant in the history of the fund totaling $1,000.00 has been made for 2015.

St. Aidan’s Christian School

Received $1000.00 to purchase basketball and soccer equipment for after school programs for youth ages 9–12 years.

The programs will provide at risk youth in the core of Winnipeg an opportunity to become involved in positive activities with the potential to enhance their self-esteem, self-discipline and learn the value of team.
