Road Rage – Arrest: C21-189980

On August 14, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was contacted regarding an adult male who had been seriously stabbed and driven to the hospital.

Investigators believe that the occupants of two vehicles who were previously unknown to each other became involved in a road-rage incident in the East Kildonan area. A verbal dispute escalated between the occupants until they eventually pulled over along the roadway. The lone driver of one of the vehicles approached the other vehicle and stabbed the 29-year-old passenger. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital by the female driver of the vehicle he was in. The suspect fled the area in his vehicle.

On August 30, 2021, the Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged a 20-year-old male of Winnipeg with Aggravated Assault.

He was released on an Undertaking (as mandated by the Criminal Code).
