Planning, Property & Development

East End Cultural & Leisure Centre Greenspace & Active Transportation Connection

In 2011, the Elmwood Recreation Review was completed. This review analyzed the condition of all Elmwood recreation amenities and prioritized improvements at each amenity location.

As part of the Review, a draft concept plan was developed for the East End Culture & Leisure Centre Site. The proposed plan for this site was informed by the community feedback collected during this review.

The second part of this plan is an active transportation connection which connects 575 Larsen to the Northeast Pioneers Greenway.

The City of Winnipeg is inviting citizens to provide their feedback on the second part of the plan through an open house or online survey (please see Engage tab below for details). The approved budget for this project is $500,000.
