Dust control map
Dust control is when a crew applies an approved dust control product such as magnesium chloride, or an organic non-petroleum product, to a gravel road in accordance with the Council approved policy. The treatment provides dust control for an extended period of time which is dependent on weather conditions and traffic. The treatment assists in maintaining the shape and surface of the road, which results in a somewhat higher quality gravel road surface than a non-treated gravel road.
The map below shows gravel roads identified for dust control and application history.
