Fire ban in effect for Winnipeg: Outdoor fires are prohibited, including fire pits, open fires, and the use of fireworks.
Seasonal bike routes
Winnipeg has four annual seasonal bike routes.
Bike route designation will now be in place seasonally on each of the streets until such a time as permanent infrastructure can be studied at the locations.
Speeds are reduced 24/7 until Thanksgiving on each route. Additional measures specific to each street will be in place on weekends in May, June, September and October, and daily through July and August. These will be in place following spring cleaning operations.
A breakdown of additional restrictions for each route is outlined below.
Speed limit reductions should be observed once signs are installed. Routes will be switched to "open" once the additional measures are installed.
