City of Winnipeg Elections is hiring! We are recruiting approximately 2,000 people to work during Advance Voting (October 3 - 21, 2022) and on Election Day (October 26, 2022) for the 2022 Municipal and School Boards Election.

Step 2 of 5: Experience

Have you previously worked in a Provincial or Federal Election or By-election?
Do you have any election supervisory experience?

Step 3 of 5: Eligibility

Have you been convicted of an indictable offence or served any part of a term in prison for an indictable offence within the previous five years?
Are you presently a candidate, or the official agent of a candidate, an elected official, such as a Senator, Member of Parliament, Member of a Legislative Assembly, a Member of Council for a Municipality or a School Trustee?
Are you a judge of any court or a justice of the peace?
Are you 18 years of age or older?

Step 4 of 5: Availability

Are you willing to work outside of your Council ward?
Are you available to work during Advance Voting (October 3-21, 2022), Election Day (October 26, 2022), or both?
Can you attend a mandatory training session prior to your assignment?

Step 5 of 5: Positions

Please select three positions you are most interested in working:

Oversees the voting place.

Greets and directs voters, and acts in a relief capacity for other Election Officers.

Confirms voter identification and issues the ballot.

Administers oaths for voters who require them in order to vote.

Operates the Automated Voting Machine (AVM) and transports AVM package to Election Headquarters.

Directs voter traffic at the entry of the voting place, and ensures routine sanitization of work stations is occurring as necessary.

Assists voters entering and leaving the voting place.
