Mission & Roland CSO Master Plan projects

In the coming years we will be upgrading the existing combined sewer system to:

Reduce basement flooding
Reduce the number of combined sewer overflows in the area.

This work is part of the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Master Plan.

While we are still in the early planning stages, we know the work will include some of the following:

Construction of new land drainage and/or wastewater sewers
Optimization the existing sewer infrastructure
Use of green infrastructure solutions

The green infrastructure solutions we chose will be customized to meet the needs of this sewer district.

Once construction begins, residents who live in the Elmwood-East Kildonan, St. Boniface, and Transcona wards can find out more about traffic impacts here.
