Sitting Pretty:

The History of the Toilet

From chamber pots, to privies, to sparkling porcelain, come and learn the story of the humble toilet. The exhibit also features a special presentation telling the story of the history of Winnipeg's water supply and how the City's sewer system came to be.

This is a fun exhibit for all ages. Come and explore one of Winnipeg's true treasures and the oldest building in the City.

Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 12 noon - 4 p.m.

Instead of paying admission, people can attend for free simply by bringing along packaged toilet paper or diapers, which will be donated to Winnipeg Harvest to help "flush away hunger".

People who participate will also be entered into a draw to win the complete installation of a new, 13-litre toilet courtesy of Rona Home & Garden. The draw will take place at 10 a.m., March 1, 2005.

A 90-minute program for schools is available. Cost is $2.50 per student. Contact the museum to arrange.
