If you have any concerns about the health of your pet, contact your veterinarian immediately.
If you are aware of a sick or injured owned animal, and the owner is neglecting to provide veterinary care, contact the Provincial Animal Care Line.

- Call the Animal Services Agency at 311 if the injured dog is moving.
- Call the Winnipeg Humane Society at 204-982-2020 if the injured dog is not moving.
- If you are unable to contact the Winnipeg Humane Society, contact the Animal Services Agency at 311.

Public property
Dead animals found on public property will be collected through our dead animal collection program. You can:
- Request dead animal removal online
- Contact 311 for dead animal pickup
- Drop off a dead dog or cat at the Winnipeg Humane Society during normal business hours.
Private property
On private property, large, wild animals (e.g., deer) will be collected through our dead animal collection program. Please contact 311 to make arrangements.
Small, wild animals (e.g., bird) found on private property can be double-bagged and put out for regular garbage collection.
If you find a dead pet (e.g., cat, dog) on private property that does not belong to you, you can drop it off at the Winnipeg Humane Society during normal business hours.
For dead animals found outside of Winnipeg, contact your municipality or RM.
If your pet is deceased, you can cancel your pet licence online.
