The following locations have been selected as off-leash dog areas in Winnipeg parks and public spaces.
Bonnycastle Park

Fully-fenced, 0.12 hectare off-leash area features artificial turf, lights, signage, park furniture
for people, waste receptacle, bottle-refill fountain operational in summer
Charleswood Off-Leash Dog Area
SW Grant Ave at Haney St
Former golf course.
Multi-use park includes skiers, snowshoers, walkers, runners, cyclists
Kilcona Park
1229 Springfield Rd
Parking available off McIvor Entrance. Off-leash area located east of parking lot on hill, with
natural boundary of water to the north, east and south. If you cross the bridge or walk west of the
hill, dogs need to be leashed. Athletic fields and Service Yard access road off limits to all dogs,
leashed or unleashed
Kings Park
198 King’s Drive
Off-leash area north east of retention pond.
Multi-use park includes skiers, snowshoers, walkers, runners, cyclists
Little Mountain Park
64093 Klimpke Rd, RM of Rosser
Large open area used for off-leash located at the north/west corner of park at Klimpke Rd. &
Farmer Ave. Parking available during summer at Klimpke Road lot, west side of park. Multi-use park
includes skiers, snowshoers, walkers, runners, cyclists
Maple Grove Park
100 Frobisher Rd
Fenced in area for puppies. Entrance to off-leash area located by Fields for Fido kiosk. Please use
only the area directly north of the kiosk and stay within the pathway. Multi-use park includes
rugby/ soccer/ football players, skiers, snowshoers, walkers, runners, cyclists
Mazenod Park

Westview Park

Located at Midland & Saskatchewan Ave. Entire park is off-leash area. Multi-use
park includes skiers, snowshoers, walkers, runners, cyclists
Community centre sites
Community-centre run, seasonal off-leash dog areas within off-season hockey rinks. Open April through November. For seasonal hours and any planned closures or private bookings, please contact the community centre.
