CSO Interim Water Quality Monitoring
In 2014 and 2015, we monitored water quality in the Red River and Assiniboine River and at select streams when specific wet and dry weather conditions were met. This is to comply with Environment Act No. 3042, Clause 15: Interim Monitoring.
Additionally, we installed automated samplers to collect combined sewer overflow discharge samples during wet weather events.
All the samples collected will be tested for various parameters, including nutrients, dissolved oxygen, and bacteria.
