Bonivital Pool Mechanical Upgrades and Structural Repairs
The Bonivital Pool, located at 1215 Archibald Street, will be closed starting January 1, 2020 for routine maintenance, necessary structural repair and mechanical upgrades.

About This Project
In addition to routine maintenance, there are two main projects that will be taking place:
- Repairs and retiling of the pool deck and tank to address structural concrete issues and replacement of deteriorated tank tile
- Upgrades to the Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) system to control building humidity
The total budget for these projects and all maintenance is $2.64 million.
Timeline
Work was completed in February 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the pool will reopen when safe and feasible to do so.

The Bonivital Pool closure will be a temporary disruption of service to many patrons who frequent this location. The Public Service has enhanced swimming lesson opportunities at alternate locations and assisted regular groups and organizations to find alternate pool space, where feasible. Citizens are encouraged to visit the website to search for alternate aquatic programs and services available across the City (winnipeg.ca/aquatics).
Existing programs and services at alternate pool locations will remain largely unaffected. User groups displaced due to the Bonivital Pool closure were offered alternate pool space based on availability, required amenities, and past practice, where feasible.
