All rates effective July 1, 2024. A Permit Processing Fee of $28.33 will be applied to each permit.

Pools

Rentals

  • Pool space or room rentals are available at indoor pools. Rentals are available for schools, groups, clubs, and individuals.
  • Rental rates are based on site amenities, space requested and the costs for required staff.
  • Please call 311 to be connected with a reservation specialist at the facility you wish to rent.

Group Reservations

  • For groups with 9 or more participants who wish to meet at the pool during public swim.
  • Indoor pool group reservations are available at all indoor pools. Restrictions may apply.
  • Outdoor pool group reservations are available at Kildonan Park Pool mid-June through August. Limited reservations are available mid-June to end of June only at Transcona Aquatic Park.
  • Admission requirements apply to all reservations.
  • Please call 311 to be connected with a reservation specialist at the facility you wish to attend.

Rental fee waivers

The City of Winnipeg may waive or reduce fees for recreation facility rentals, subject to limits established in the annual operating budget.

Eligibility criteria

Groups

To qualify for a facility rental fee waiver, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a non-profit group/organization, public school, or government agency that provides services that align with Council-adopted plans, policies, and strategies
  2. Serve at least one of the following population groups:
    • Persons at risk, vulnerable, or marginalized
    • Persons living on low income
    • Persons from an equity group
      • women
      • Indigenous
      • racialized
      • persons with disabilities
      • Newcomers
      • 2SLGBTQ+
  3. Use the facility for one of the following activity types:
    • Recreational
    • Healthy living
    • Cultural
    • Library
    • Educational
    • Food security
    • Reconciliation

Individuals

Individuals who qualify for the Recreation Fee Assistance Program are also eligible for facility rental fee waivers. See the fee waiver request form for more information.

How to apply for a rental fee waiver

Step 1 – Book your room

Many recreation and aquatic facilities have rooms are available to rent. Features and amenities at each facility can be found on the facility webpages.

To make a booking reservation or get more information on available room types and locations:

Step 2 – Submit fee waiver request form

Once a booking reservation is made, you can complete and submit a request form (link) to have the rental fees waived.

Forms can be submitted as follows:

  • Email: cms-rs-facilityreservations@winnipeg.ca
  • Mail: Facility Reservations, 6th Floor, 395 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3N8
  • In person at 395 Main St. or any indoor pool, fitness centre, or recreation and leisure centre

Please submit fee waiver request forms a minimum of three weeks before the event date, to allow for application processing time.

Next steps

Fee waiver requests will be reviewed against eligibility criteria and available budget, and applicants will be informed of the decision.

If your request is approved, your booking will be updated to reflect rental fee reductions. Note, permit processing fees may still apply when rental fees are waived.
