Help shape the future of Winnipeg Transit
Several public engagement opportunities to share your thoughts
April 10, 2019
The City of Winnipeg is developing a road map for the future of Winnipeg Transit and is asking residents what should be in it.
The Transit Master Plan will be a vision for the future of the transit system and will outline the steps needed to get there. It will span the next 25 years.
There are several opportunities for residents to tell the City what they feel currently works and doesn’t work with Winnipeg Transit as well as what they think the future of Transit should look like.
“As the city grows, the Winnipeg Transit Master Plan will help ensure people and communities are connected by transit,” said Björn Rådström, Winnipeg Transit Manager of Service Development.
Several in-person events are planned throughout Winnipeg where residents can drop by to learn more about the project and give input. People can also share their thoughts online until April 20, 2019.
There will be future engagement opportunities focusing on the feedback received and residents will also having the chance to review the draft form of the Winnipeg Transit Master Plan.
